Pre-Departure

Hello! The time has finally come! In just a few short days I will be on my way to Jordan for the experience of a lifetime. I will be studying in Amman, Jordan for the spring semester and I couldn't be more excited! This is a trip of "firsts" for me. This is not only my first time to the Middle East but it is also my first time leaving the country (besides Canada which hardly counts). I will be studying Arabic and two area studies courses while abroad. My goals are to learn as much Arabic as I can and have fun learning about such a fascinating culture! This will be a huge growing experience for me and I'll be able to better understand an area of the world that has remained a mystery to me most of my life. I'm not sure what my access to internet will be like but I am going to try and post at least once a week or as often as I can depending on how busy I am. I am going to try and include pictures as well as insight as to how I am affected by the cultural differences around me. It is going to be a fun and challenging experience that I look forward to beginning!
