ReplyDeleteWe have a maid that speaks little Arabic and no English. I was given a key and specifically make sure to lock the door so she "couldn't have friends over" which is absurd because she barely speaks any Arabic and obviously doesn't know anyone in the country---its to make sure she can't leave (there is a problem with maids running away). So as you can imagine it goes against a lot of my own personal beliefs to knowingly take away someones personal freedom every time I lock the door.
