Marhaba! Hello!
So today is the first day I've been able to access my blog----I haven't been able to get on the internet very much here and when I do it has been extremely slow and I've had issues with websites coming up in Arabic.

So far I LOVE Jordan! The people are very friendly and the orientation has been packed with a lot of useful information and fun activities. Our first full day we took a trip on the Hijaz railway where we were "kidnapped" by bedouin men on horseback. We then enjoyed coffee with one of the local sheikhs and learned a little bit about the local bedouin.

Yesterday, we had a very fun scavenger hunt. We broke down into 3-4 person groups and completed tasks around the city. Ours included finding a camel statue and mailing it to a male relative (a task we unfortunately could not complete).

Today I had my first arabic class which was three hours long. Talk about a LOT of information at once!! Its a little bit intimidating but fun at the same time.

Anyway, I wish I could write more but I have to be back on campus soon. More to come soon!!
